Gong Xiang Dancong


Even those who know the Dancong tea family may never have heard of this type, in fact Gong Xiang is not among the most famous members of the extensive Dancong family, which counts several hundred varieties.
The rich fruity, warm, spicy and sweet flavor couldn't be overlooked by the first farmers who decided to offer this tea to the emperor.
In fact, the character Gòng 贡 is the stylized representation of a man who holds a tray above his head, to show respect.

Very dark green leaves, with rust and light green shades. With small buds and twigs.


Dry: Very fruity aroma, with notes of peach and apricot. Spicy and toasted notes are present as well.
Wet: The darker profile rises, with notes of toasted and burnt, mineral scents reminiscent of a cave. Followeded by a deep, fruity sweetness.


The fruity and floral profiles are overwhelming, both mouth and nose are assailed by a powerful variety of aromas, peach, apricot, lily. It also develops in depth with the aroma of walnut, fresh and toasted, cocoa. The aftertaste is intense and prolonged, with fruity and balsamic aromas.
