black tea

Ciclo Vita Pu'er Sogno Sinensis

This is the tea category with the highest degree of oxidation, around 90-100%, which gives it its characteristic deep and complex flavor. Its real name is “red tea”, due to the color of its liquid, in fact in China black tea indicates another category, what in the west we call “pu’er”.
The first black tea was produced in the village of Tong Mu, in Fujian, China, for a fortuitous mishap, where the leaves were exposed to the sun for a prolonged period thus causing an almost complete oxidation. The result was the first tea that won the attention of the West.
